Chamber Board Welcomes 2 New Members
The Humboldt County Cannabis Chamber of Commerce has a board of directors that volunteer their time, talent and knowledge to guide the direction of the chamber's development. We are excited to welcome two new members to the board:
Rob Page, 707-4-HEALTH
Rob Page is a Native Californian who first visited Humboldt County in 1972 before relocating his family from Orange County in 1990. In his early years, Rob worked stints in agriculture and manufacturing before progressing into business finances and then Commercial Insurance after his relocation to Humboldt. He and his wife raised TWO "Only children," born sixteen years apart, their youngest is a recent graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
Laura Lasseter, Southern Humboldt Business and Visitors Bureau
Laura Lasseter's roots have existed in Southern Humboldt since the late 70's on her family land in Whitethorn. A graduate of San Francisco State University, Laura jumped in to the corporate world right out of college, leading her to the great state of Texas. She built her career in Texas and raised her two daughters, all the while still maintaining her family land in Whitethorn.
After a long 19 years in Texas, the Mattole River finally called her back home and she has been in Southern Humboldt for over 2 years now. Laura's land is one of the first participants of the Sanctuary Forest Water Forbearance Programs. Currently she is the Director of Operations and Founding Board member of the Southern Humboldt Business and Visitors Bureau (SHBVB).
In addition she serves on the Eureka, Humboldt County Visitors Bureau Board Of Directors and the Garberville Rotary Club Board of Directors.
About Southern Humboldt Business & Visitors Bureau
The bureau's primary goal is to accelerate sustainable economic growth through tourism marketing and destination development. To provide business leadership and effective coordination. The SHBVB will advocate to restore and retain the natural environment, art, culture and history of Southern Humboldt. Their leadership team will work with local government units, private enterprise and other interested parties to achieve a harmonizing interest in our Southern Humboldt tourism industry.
